Commissioned by South Devon College. The mace head consists of three pewter and acrylic panels surrounding a patinated pewter sphere, suspended on a brass rod. On each panel is an initial of South Devon College. The 3 panels are symbolic of hands cupping to nurture and protect as well as the 3 towns of Torbay - Paignton - Torquay - Brixham. Symbols of Alchemy
Golden patinated pewter neck piece. The form of the necklace represents the alchemical symbols for tin; antimony and copper which together make the alloy pewter. Set with amethyst, peridot and zircon with coloured silver gilding. Made for 'Pewter Now' exhibition, 'Reflections on History', Cockington Court Gallery
Hand forged, blued steel and bronze decorative knives. Their form is inspired by the movements of the epee sword through the air during fencing practice. This practice was part of the ceremony of carving the meat at a mediaeval banquet performed by the knights at the table.
